It is unimaginable and unbearable to witness  a life force as strong and as powerful as Brett's, moved, and removed, from what we once knew it to be.

Brett hails from Rock Island, Illinois, where four state lines, earning it the nick name of "four corners." He grew up in a small house with his Mom and Dad, and brother David. The photographs reflect he was a hippy of sorts, donned many a tie-dye listening to the Rolling Stones. His wandering soul landed him in northern California were he became a part of many communities, including DPW of Black Rock City, the Rickshaw Stop if San Francisco, a resident of the Vulcan, the Lodge, and 11s in Oakland.  

Brett Behrens passed away in his home in Bisbee, AZ on December 4th, 2022. We will carry your memory with us always Brother Brett. 

Squirrely is in touch with Brett's cousin and brother. We are working out details and would like to keep everyone updated but nothing is for sure yet. We don't know where the funeral will be or when. It's important we remain considerate in this situation, that we are using our words to communicate and not making brash decisions at the expense of others.
