The online memorial was well attended and cathartic. Friends from Brett's Rickshaw Stop job, DPW, and friends from his home town joined in to share stories, feelings, regrets, and how to move forward. Thank you to all who attended.

After hearing rumors around the nature of Brett's death I contacted the Bisbee police department today. Dispatch transferred me to a detective assigned to investigating Brett's death. She informed me that autopsy results have not been returned to determine if the cause of Brett's death if it was natural causes or drug related. However, there are "no signs of violent death and the investigation does not consider it to be a homicide."

It is unimaginable and unbearable to witness a life force as strong and as powerful as Brett's, moved, and removed, from what we once knew it to be.

Brett hails from Rock Island, Illinois, where four state lines, earning it the nick name of "four corners." He grew up in a small house with his Mom and Dad, and brother David. The photographs reflect he was a hippy of sorts, donned many a tie-dye listening …
