Uncle Brent is the reason I am obsessed with pop culture! Every time my dad took us to visit Grandpa and Uncle Brent I'd immediately go to see if my uncles room door was open and see what movie was blasting on his tv. And it was always something loud, classic and violent lol, he would always show me the vhs cover of the current movie he was watching and tell me a fun fact about the making of the movie or who the starring actors were. Bruce Lee, Clint Eastwood, Steven Seagal lol I knew the full plot and synopsis of "Under Siege" by the time I was in 4th grade lol He fueled my obsessions of kung fu movies, old western movies and most importantly comic books, Archie Comics to be exact, Everytime We'd leave Grandpas house, he would always give us 2 things: a piece of advice and an Archie comic. My fondest memory is when he gifted my sister Karima and I like 2 binfuls, I'm talking 2 huge grey bins of comic books, we had so many that we used to build structures for our Barbie dolls with them lol. I would stay up all night with a flashlight under my covers reading about the Adventures of Archie, Betty, Veronica and Jughead, Uncle Brent's favorite character. (He said because Jughead although the greediest, was the smartest character.) Everywhere I went I had a comic with me, looking back now it was also like I always had a piece of uncle Brent with me. I still have some of those books, so I still have some of him with me too. I love You Uncle Brent ❤️
