Bobby's obituary

Bobby, 70 passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his son Jason’s home on April 20, 2023. Bobby was a veteran who served in the Marine reserves.  Bobby was born on November 28, 1952 in Dallas, Texas to his parents Bob Stokes and Frances Scoggins Stokes.  When he was just 18, Bobby was recruited to join the United States Marine Corp.  After his military service, Bobby came back home where he fell for Shirley Secrest, who he soon married in 1976.  Bobby and Shirley chose to settle in the town of Irving, Texas.   After moving to Irving, Bobby continued working at Atlas Printing Ink, a family owned business.  He worked at Atlas for many years before deciding to venture out and create his own printing ink business.  He is survived by his daughter Leslie Stokes and her two children, Avery and Levi; Jason Stokes and his wife Tiffany and their three children, Braden, Brinley, and Brock; Shelby and her husband Dusty Cannon, and their three children, Savannah, Dakota, and Cruz.   He is also survived by his siblings; Rick, Michael, Linda, and Steven along with many others who have been impacted by the amazing man he was.  He was selfless, giving, loving, and his life centered around his family.  He has left the most amazing legacy behind for his family, and he will be forever missed.  There will be a celebration of life for close friends and family to honor this amazing man.   If you would like to send flowers, please send them to 2828 Longvue Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76108.
