Billy Ray passed from this Earth after a long hard fight with Cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hosa B. and Bennie Lucille Benson; his grandparents, Cornelius and Clydie Allen; his siblings, Shirley Rice, Ricky Benson, Gloria Aron, Jimmie Benson and Steve Benson; and his nephew Jimmie Benson II.

Survivors include his children, Alisha Benson Olivares and husband, Luis of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Ashley Nicole Benson of Mangham, Louisiana. His siblings, …

Daddy will be missed by so many people. He loved to make people smile. He was a 49er fanatic and supported them even when no one else did. Dad learned to ride a unicycle when he was younger. He never met a stranger and taught us all so much. Dad played on a pool league for years and was quite good at the sport.
