Bill was always out tending to his lawn and garden. Funniest thing is it was Nancy that just informed me of his impeccable timing to do so…typically when I’d get home from work, so I could join them for Happy Hour on the porch. If Nancy wasn’t there, we’d compare the yards, talk about the Tigers, compare hats (inside joke), you know the usual stuff. Yet as I think of what we spoke of most, it was his family. He loved them so much. Remembering a time where he told me, “I’m not sure how she puts up with me (Nancy)….I really got lucky.” He was so proud of his kids and definitely was always excited to show me pictures and tell me stories of his grandchildren, including his paw print grandkids. I never had much of a male figure in my life, but Bill changed that for me. He warmed many of my days with his presents and now his memories will forever be cherished in my heart. Play a little Jimmy Buffet and be at peace Bill. We got this.
