My dad was like my partner during last three decades. When he was diagnosed with Alheimer's Decease, he asked me to care for him which I did until his final days. I also did the same for my mom as a caregiver until her death on June 21st, 2019. Both share a cemetery plot together at Woodlawn South. My advice to other caregivers who want to see their parents get proper care during their elderly years be very selective of the medical facilities you send them to because most hospitals view patients for their age as well as condition. The care they get should be their focus as well as condition and they should not determine how age can be a factor in treatment like Doctors Hospital did with my dad in his final days. Always pray about your decisions before making them happen.
