Bienvenido's obituary

Rev. Bienvenido Moises Toirac was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and Pastor to many. He leaves behind his wife Adelfa Toirac, his son Alex and daughter Anabel. He passed away from Respitory Failure and a stroke the morning of August 30th after weeks of intubation and a ventilater. Rev. Toirac born in Barracoa, Cuba in 1924, lived on a farm with 10 brothers and sisters. His father Ramon Toirac Jr. owned the farm with animals which his children cared for as live stock. His mother Francesca was a strong woman who always kept a balance in the family home. His uncle was a pastor at a local church. Rev. Toirac and 3 of his brothers joined a seminary called Los Pinos Nuevo in 1944. There he met his wife Adelfa and in 1952 were married. He served his time at los Pinos as a missionary man with his brothers in different locations in Cuba. His first son Moises was born on December 17, 1953. After graduation he moved to Havana where he built a church by mid 50s. Soon after Anabel was born on April 22, 1956. His church success was threatened with Fidel's communist order. This was reason to leave Cuba and head for Miami, Florida where they restarted their lives. He ran two book stores and second one was named after his son Alex who was born on August 1, 1967. The second book store was opened in New Jersey and called Alex Books. During the 1970s, they return to Miami where he worked with drug addicts as a counselor. He then started a new hispanic church Miami, Expressway Baptist church. He graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree at Mercy College in 1980. The next ministry was Light & Truth Baptist Church after relocation and a new beginning. His son Moises later became Pastor of church giving Rev. Bienvenido M. Toirac a chance at retiring as pastor eventhough he continued to work. From delivering newspapers for Miami News, he then worked with immigrants in World Relief. His next job change by late 90s was at Miami Mental Health Center helping dimentia patients. Now a great grandparent, he officially retired. By 2007, he was beginning his fight with Alzheimer's decease which lasted 11 years before he passed away from multiple organ failure beginning with his breathing. His son Alex was his caregiver until his last day at age 94. /

Rev. Bienvenido Moises Toirac fue un buen hombre de Dios y tambien un buen esposo, padre, hermano y hijo. El deja atraz, su esposa Adelfa. un hijo Alex y hija Anabel. Rev. Toirac fue Pastor desde 1955 de iglesias que el fundo en Cuba y los Estados Unidos. El tenia dos librerias ante de servir como Predicador. En 1976, el comenzo la Iglesia Hispana Bautista Expressway y despues Iglesia Bautista Luz y Verdad en Miami. Cuando retiro como Pastor, su hijo Moises se hizo el nuevo pastor de la iglesia en 1985. Rev. Toirac trabajo como social worker y muchos otros hasta el 2000 cuando retiro oficialmente. En 2007, ya tenia Alzheimers donde ya dependia de su hijo Alex hasta su ultimo dia en 2018 despues de cumplir 94 de problemas pulmunaria.
