I worked with Bernie in the late 80's at CIGNA and he was just the best. Very kind to this green, new grad, and a wonderful model of how to treat people.
Liz and family.  I’m so sorry to learn of Bernie’s death.  He was someone I enjoyed immensely and appreciated being around for a time.  Love to you all.  Nancy
Liz, I’m so sorry to hear of Bernie‘s passing. He was genuinely a very nice man who treated people with respect. He knew many friends across the country in and out of pharmacy. If you were in pharmacy, you knew Bernie Potof. It was an honor and a pleasure to have known and worked with Bernie for all those years. He’ll be greatly missed by all who knew him. May God comfort you and your family during this very difficult time, and may Bernie rest in peace.

As a fellow pharmacist, I knew Bernie through Cigna.  He was a trail blazer in the early days of Managed Care Pharmacy.  His business acumen and contracting abilities were second to none. Bernie had a wonderful and dry sense of humor that always left you feeling good about life. He had a tremendous ability to read people and separate the wheat from the chafe. I and others had the opportunity to dine at his favorite Chinese restaurants in the Phoenix area. They were lunches to be remembered! Bernie was a genuine person with a great heart and a love for animals.  Thank you for the memories!
