Bernadette was an amazing inspiration in my life that words cannot describe.Ā She was our Director at Cedars-Sinai.Ā Through the years, we would occasionally share fond memories and great times.Ā She gave all three of my baby showers, and I will never ever forget her.Ā She was a true friend and awesome boss.Ā Bernadette, you will be truly, truly missed.Ā Ā

I am still in disbelief that you received your wings. I still remember us singing in the Youth Choir at Calvary. But on this day (10-6-22) we will celebrate your life! Glory to God! I will see you again my friend.

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the Lodge-Lemon family. Bernadette was my boss for over 14 years and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her. Bernadette was an incredible woman. She was smart, charismatic, dedicated, hard-working and inspiring. She possessed all the qualities of a great leader and was admired and respected by everyone with whom she crossed paths. She was a leader, role model, mentor, advisor and friend. I am deeply saddened by her loss. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends and loved ones during this most difficult time.

Please know that Bernadette was admired and revered by so many- to include myself.Ā I worked with Bernadette since 2001 and under her leadership I knew she led with integrity, compassion, knowledge and care.Ā She was a mentor to me at Cedars and at UCLA.Ā I am not sure who will have the personality and dynamics to ever fill her shoes.Ā Amazing woman and am blessed to have worked on her team for years...Ā Warm regards,

Bernadette (BLL)...Ā I find it so hard to write this.Ā My heart truly hurts that you're no longer here.Ā I have so many greatĀ memoriesĀ of you - our late nights at the 16th floor; our trips to SMH, our meetings at NPH, our trip Downtown; our Month-end/FYE "last" push; the many e-mails to make sure that I'm still there working with you :) and the prep for Financial Close.Ā Then, there's those with a bit more personal flavor - going to Tristen's birthday at your house, seeing you around the Valley in stores and malls.Ā My favorite - you didn't want to let me go to FPG (at least that's what I wanted to believe), you kept extending my last day.Ā You taught me to be strong-minded.Ā You always told me - "don't let anyone pull the wool over your eyes".Ā You also told me to "always trust but verify".Ā These memories, I will keep in my heart always.Ā I always call or e-mail you on your birthday but I didn't this year.Ā I'm SO sorry...Ā I will see you in heaven...Ā Ā
To Autumn, Colby, Tristen and to all of Bernadette's other loved ones - please know that I will be praying for and with you all that GOD will console each of you with HIS unconditional love, endless mercy and amazing grace as well as comfort you with HIS peace and grant you HIS incredible strength to go through this very difficult time.Ā Please know that you have an amazing Mom who helped and positively impacted so many people.

Bernadette will be sorely missed.Ā She was, undoubtedly, one of the most impactful persons on my career.Ā Having worked with her for nearly 20 years, she was so much more than a client.Ā She was a mentor, a sounding board, an inspirer, and a friend.Ā She made all of us better.Ā Although she was an incredibly private person, she afforded glimpses into her personal life - I saw her children grow up and build lives for themselves through the pictures in her office and prideful updates.Ā My sincerest condolences to her family, colleagues, friends and loved ones.
