All I can say is I'm sorry, he was a genuinely nice kid from the get. Put up with flocks of weird girls tromping in and out of the house, always curious and never complained about the number of times he was probably forced to watch Phantom of the Opera or the Labyrinth or listen to Opeth blasted at full volume. I remember when we went on a field trip with him and met up with some of the other home school kids, I feel like it was somewhere around Fort Snelling - learning about tapping trees if I'm not mistaken. Your mom trailing behind us in the leaves and Ben doing serious attention face when they were explaining the process. I remember when he started working out, when he came in victorious Rambo-style with Pat after they helped lift a neighbor's car. His goggled face popping out of the pool in summer, him tag-teaming with your dad digging us out of the ditch on 42 and Nicollet during a snowstorm. It's weird little things like that, that stick with me. Nothing's going to make it better, but that kid really lived and he'll live forever in the love you all have for him.

I'm so glad I got a chance to know him better by working with him and then calling on him at Fairview. He is funny, witty, kinda and oh so thoughtful. His legacy will live on with all the lives he to touched on his short stay here. I've no doubt he was greeted in heaven with " You have done well my good and faithful friend!"
Love you all bunches
