Mr. Barry "Pap" Stanifer, 79, of Dandridge, TN, passed away on July 21, 2023 after a 3 year battle with cancer. 

Barry was born on April 21, 1944 to Stella and George Stanifer at their home in Corryton, TN. Barry is an army veteran with two tours in Vietnam, and a Ford Motor Company retiree of 28 years. In September of 1971 he married Shirley Dalton, they had their daughter Toni Sheree Stanifer in December of 1973, and divorced in 1978. He met his best friend and future wife Peggy Reagin in 1987 and they married in August of 2011. Barry was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the best life he could. Barry was also a passionate fisherman and boating enthusiast, and could often be found at the lake when he wasn’t at home.


Anyone who knew Barry knew that he was a loving father and hard working man and husband. Barry was predeceased by his parents George & Stella Stanifer and his sisters Patricia Bendiburg and Beatrice Finley. He is survived by siblings Bill Stanifer, Brenda Cline, Buddy Stanifer and Phyllis Washam, his daughter Toni Sheree Hrabe, wife Peggy Stanifer, step children John, William and Nicole Reagin and his grandchildren Sydney Stanifer, Taela Conlan and Declan Conlan, as well as many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews, and many very close friends. The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Rest Haven funeral home 2642 E Hwy 25-70 Dandridge, TN 37725.
