Dear Lori, Amy, and David,
Today I clicked on Barbara’s name from my list of friends on FB. I vaguely remembered that her birthday was in mid-September. There I saw a post saying that Barbara had passed away in June.
I met Barbara in Toledo in 1968 when your dad was attending law school. Barbara and I were each new teachers in Monroe, MI. We met at an orientation for new employees and carpooled regularly to our respective schools. When my husband and I moved to NY and Barbara and Ken moved back to NJ, we visited back and forth often and also visited in FL. The last time I spoke to Barbara was after Kenny’s death. I often wondered why she no longer posted news on FB. Now I know why. Barbara was a wonderful person. I always enjoyed spending with both of your parents. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I know how much you all miss her.
Sincerely,
Joan Kirschner (Charlotte NC)
