Barbara's obituary

On August 23rd, Barbara Oster, from Howard Lake, unexpectedly passed away in her home at the age of 71. Barb was born to Alfred & Caroline Dettmann on August 17th, 1947. She grew up in Northeast Minneapolis where she later on met the love of her life, Lee Oster. They married on May 23rd, 1970 and together created a beautiful and strong family. Barbara enjoyed traveling with her husband, going on model T and model A tours, baking sweets, and coffee with her friends. Barbara was a natural born care-taker, and took great pride in caring for her family. She had great determination, and was a very strong willed person. Although she was taken from this earth too soon, she lived a full life full of love, happiness, and family.

During this time of grief, please feel free to share any fond memories you have with Barbara to help her family and friends see the joy she brought to those who surrounded her.

Barbara leaves behind her husband; Lee Oster, her four children; Mike, Kathy, Jenny, and Christine, and her five grand-children; Kala, Haley, Drew, Stephanie, and Morgan. She will be preceded in death by her mother Caroline Dettmann, her father Alfred Dettmann, and her sister Carol Dettmann.
