It's hard to believe that tomorrow will be the one-year anniversary of the day that our mother and grandmother was taken from us. A lot has happened in that year -- family reconnecting, legal challenges in making sure the person who hit them is held accountable, and managing the medical struggles my father has faced since the accident. But through it all has remained my mother's indomitable spirit as she has watched over us.
The family will not be sharing any public commemoration of Barbara's passing anniversary tomorrow, but we would like to invite anyone who is interested to prepare a rum & coke or glass of wine and give a toast to Barb at 1:15 tomorrow (January 8th). Wherever we all are, we can collectively remember the bright light that was extinguished at that exact moment one year ago.
