We are so very sorry to hear of the passing of your Barbara.   We grew up as children being second cousins with many fond memories.  Aunt Violet and my mother were first cousins and lived in Cresskill where they shared many wonderful times together just as they did growing up.  Our hearts and prayers are with all of the Johnson and Scanlon Family.  With Sympathy and prayers,  Suzanne, Barbara, and Lorraine  (Aunt Marie & Uncle Whitey Cuccurullo  daughters)
Barbara was a wonderful, hysterically funny and as kind a person as they come. Our deepest sympathies are with you as you process your devastating loss.

I was lucky enough to get to know Barbara (albeit during these last few years) pretty intimately. I can tell you the amount of love that she had for her family, well it was enough for her to earn warrior status. And a warrior she was. I was her radiation therapist  at Englewood Health, and we instantly bonded over our love for Dachshunds. She would always ask me how Dexter was, and she would go on telling me about how her "pack" continues to grow be it Doxie or grannie.  It was really the only time her face would light up. Well obviously that and seeing me again when she came through Radiation Oncology.  Barbara and I had a special bond, and shared some pretty intimate and powerful moments together here during the course of her many treatments. The memories of those moments make my eyes swell. There are not many patients in my 12 years here that when they pass, make me cry...

With a heavy heart and deepest sympathies, I wish you all a moment of comfort in this emptiness.
