Babs's obituary
Mrs. Babs Fowler Craft, age 80, of Uvalda, died Thursday evening, November 3, 2022, at her residence after an extended illness, under the care of Regency Southern Care Hospice and surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Craft was born in Toombs County on October 26, 1942 and graduated from Vidalia High School Class of 1960. She lived most of her life in Montgomery County where she was employed as a teacher with the Montgomery County Board of Education and retired after 32 years of loyal service. She enjoyed crocheting, needle point, reading and traveling. Mrs. Craft was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Eastern Star, Methodist Women and Uvalda Community Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leon Fowler and Mazie May Fowler.
Her family includes her husband of sixty-two years, Eustus Lamont Craft, Sr. of Uvalda, Georgia; a son, Eustus “Monty” Lamont Craft II and wife Sonja of Uvalda, Georgia; a daughter, Karen Patricia Craft Wall and husband Richard Alan Wall, Sr. of Bonaire, Georgia; a sister, Geina Fowler Adams and husband Scott of Uvalda, Georgia; five grandchildren, Barbara “Babs” Patricia Wall Orange and husband Jimmy Neil Orange III, Jami Sha Wall, Richard Alan Wall II, Taylor Jean Craft Mason and husband Caylen and Eustus “Ty” Lamont Craft III; two great-grandchildren, Logan Jeanine Orange and Jimmy Neil Orange IV.
The funeral service will be Monday morning, November 7th, at 11:00 at Uvalda Community Church with Rev. Shareon Napier Wommack officiating. Burial will follow at Uvalda City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church on Monday morning at 10:00 until just prior to the funeral service.
