We looked at the movie, Mission Impossible - Fallout in 2018 inside the Vaughan Cinema with premium seating when she last visited Canada in 2018.  This was also the last time I ever went inside that specific cinema to watch any other movie.  She will be remembered as the last  Aunt I watched a movie inside this cinema with.  Something to think about when passing that cinema.
She used to sing or reference this song when we were all younger.
Even though I wasn’t able to attend the service, Aunt Avril has been on my mind and in my prayers. I’ll always remember telling her that I loved her and the warmth she carried in every conversation. Life has been hectic lately, but that doesn’t take away from how deeply she’s missed and appreciated. Rest peacefully, Aunt Avril — your kindness lives on in all of us.

With prayer and admiration to the Woman who touched many lives, raised respectable God-fearing men, and devoted her life to her family & community; I’m thankful & blessed to have met such a woman. You are forever loved & blessed: your legacy and truth will remain.
My deepest condolences to the family🙏🏾. Peaceful Journey Auntie Avril…. You are dearly missed…🙏🏾. While the clock ran out before I could take you back to Africa with me or revisit Trinidad with you (as we had planned)…, I will always remember our long talks and big laughs! Thank you for your love, authenticity and always  “giving a good joke”…. You are beautiful inside and out… thank you for introducing me to vegetarianism, teaching me how to make potato roti with fresh roti bakes from scratch and for all of the Christian based relationship and parenting books … ;)💙! I  will never cease to speak your name with love and fondness… You will forever be in our hearts. Rest In Power! - Love Crystal
AVRIL, OUR CHILDHOOD MEMORIES WILL LAST A LIFETIME AND BEYOND
To my favorite aunt . The pain from losing you is a pain I have not felt since your sister , my grandmother Jackie passed away. Sometimes I start to dial your number because we spoke so often. With the time difference I always knew you would be awake to talk. We had so many plans about you coming to Peru and staying with me there and learning the culture and improving your Spanish. You were my favorite aunt with so much energy and joy and great sense of humor. You loved a good joke and we shared so many laughs . I AM SO THANKFUL that I was able to spend time with you just weeks before the lord called you home . I will cherish those final moments forever. I will love and miss you always Auntie . Love EBY

Tribute to my dear friend Avril I miss you so much already. We love and care for each other. I will miss talking with you mornings and nights.Thank you for loving my grandchildren, especially Ethan, your favorite. They love you too, and all the goodies you gave them. You was a woman of strength and courage, who love God, life, family, and friends, you met a long life journey. Your two sons three grandchildren, and your daughter-in-law. I want them to know they were your world you talk about them each day and show off their pictures. I am happy. We share a part of our lives together. I am looking forward to meeting you in heaven, where we will meet Jesus the one who died for Us, your friend Dezy Chisholm and family.

To Evan and Evrod your mom is missed. Her smile and that voice when she called my name. The discussions and the stories. I loved her spirit from the first time  I met her at Beacon of light Church in Rockford and Our continued communications from Michigan and then Cali. Was looking forward to her visiting me in Alabama. She didn't make it to TEXAS while I was there.

She is Missed and will be Miss.

Condolences to the Cassimy and Paris Family! May God be with you and strengthen you as you celebrate the life of Avril who has gone to rest in the arms of her Creator. She will be missed!

Sorry to hear about your passing. May God grant comfort and peace to the family

You will be dearly missed.

So sorry for incredible light cut short! In my last conversation with Sis Avril, we tuned her guitar and she regaled me with videos of her sons. She loved them dearly! She will  be missed by many!!
