I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Joyce. Ā She was such a lovely, caring person who shined brightly. Ā My mom, Sandra was her cousin and we loved spending time with her. Ā We lived in Deer Park at one time, visited her in Florida and also enjoyed the time when Joyce lived in Austin. Ā My family loved her and her family deeply. Ā
Joyce was a cherished friend to me.Ā Ā I have a favorite saying that fits her life perfectly.Ā "Life is best danced to the song of your heart."Ā Ā Joyce and my sister Susan stayed with me during a couple of predicted hurricanes in recent years.Ā We had such a good time!Ā Joyce was a special friend of my Mom's and then my sister introduced me to her.Ā How I will miss her.Ā Ā Julia Rissler
I am fortunate to have attended Cunningham High School with Joyce. I remember her beauty and her demonstrable care for others. I remember her as a member of the women's basketball team and as a member of the renowned Cunningham High School Choir.
She was well liked by all in her world, which she reciprocated with ease.
I had the privilege of meeting Joyce when I became her neighbor.Ā She truly was a special woman who radiated love, kindness, and a genuine interest in the world and others around her. I loved talking with her about any topic. She was so sharp and interesting in conversation. I will miss her but she will not be forgotten.Ā Her spirit will remain alive for all those she touched in life.Ā Heaven gained another Angel this week. My condolences to her loving daughter Teresa and all other family members.
