Tony was a really special guy. From the first time I met him, he exuded a genuine warmth and kindness. Whenever I visited Provincetown, I always stopped by to see him and Kerry, two absolutely lovely people who always made me feel welcome and treasured. I fell in love with Tony's work and have the pleasure of displaying some of his pieces in my home. People always compliment his paintings when they visit. As someone who has no artistic talent, I really respected his. It would always fascinate me to see what he was working on in the studio. I made a comment once about how terrible my drawing was, and he offered to have me come in and paint with him one day. His only request was that I do some homework and read "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards beforehand. I purchased the book but didn't read it yet. I deeply regret that I procrastinated. I was so saddened to hear the news of his passing - what a wonderful man. My heart goes out to Kerry and his family - I am so sorry for your loss.
I met Tony in 1985 through employment at Liberty Ent, I was the cost accountant and Tony was a dotted line boss. Working with Tony for 24 years I learned what an articulate person he was, nearly a photographic memory. At every meeting we were together he taught me the art of negotiation. He demonstrated how every obstacle was a challenge. Business sense, "never have the cure cost more than the sickness", "follow the money", "track the dimes and nickels, the dollars will take care of themselves", and many more. How to treat people right and they will be a team, giving thanks for jobs well done. Every one of these lessons, I personally carry to this day. Tony allowed me to develop public speaking skills, he was an ace at it. And a friend, this I will cherish the most, we continued contact after he retired and started his second career, working together.

I worked with Tony throughout his career at Liberty. He was a visionary and his leadership style inspired us to help make the vision a reality. As we worked together over the years, he knew when I needed a boost of self-confidence or a good laugh or a talk about life outside of Liberty. He was definitely a story teller and confided that “all stories don’t have to be 100% true!” If Tony decided to pursue a new interest it was “full speed ahead” whether it was a personal endeavor or a work endeavor. He was one of a kind! I feel blessed to have called him a friend. Sending my love to Kerry and all of Tony’s family.
Tony, an artist, wonderfully empathetic, and creative friend. So many, many memories of Tony and Kerry, laughing with family at the Rev & Terese's home, filled with love, great food, and music. Weddings, celebrations, we shall never forget you. Kerry, he loved you so much.
What I learned from Tony was to always remain engaged with creativity. He was an artist, finished carpenter, designer, and businessman. He was a great friend and neighbor. Before we sold our place on the Cape, we had a lovely dinner to celebrate his 70th. He was full of love and will be missed so much. Kerry, thank you and God Bless.

Tony had great talent, charisma, a wonderful sense of humor and a big heart. His passing is sad news for all of us. Our sincerest condolences to his family.
If was a pleasure to work with Tony and follow his journey as an Artist. Will be watching for his talent to show up in the Gallery of Angels! Healing Prayers to Terese & Family. Love Lives Forever!
So sorry for your loss. I knew Tony when I worked at Liberty. He was always kind and fun to be around. He made the everyone feel better. I was a workshop counselor then an msc then worked in a few small residential settings. Once we took one of our houses to Ptown. I have an interest in art too, Tony always told me stop by if in Ptown. I searched and to my delight found his studio. The people I worked for were just as delighted to see Tony. That’s the kind of person he was. I always wanted to retire and be Tony. Alas there was only one Tony.
We are so heartbroken & sad to find out about Tony’s passing. Such a vibrant, compassionate, sweet & talented man. He was one of a kind. We hold such fond memories of you both. When we moved into our Ptown condo, you both came right over, welcomed us & helped with whatever we needed. Tony always took time to show us how to do things the right way from shaving down doors that wouldn’t close, to how to use a power washer & picking up privet bushes for planting. He always found time for us & made us feel important. When we decided to marry, you both made a special trip from NY to celebrate with us. Tony was charming with my Mom. These are some of the things we remember & were so special about Tony.
Kerry- how he loved you. He would always got a special twinkle in his eyes when he spoke of you. Tony packed so much living into his life. He will live on in the memories we all hold & through his artwork.
We are so sorry for your loss- Roni & Liz

We cannot imagine how empty the Cortille Studio will feel upon our next visit (despite our deep admiration of both Brenda and Rob). Tony has a special place in our hearts as a deeply admired painter/artist and person. We feel privileged to have a beautiful painting of his displayed in a prominent spot in our living room. The ocean side cliffs and the water come alive with amazing depth and layers of color. It looks like a breeze is playing in the beach grass and off the waves as it hangs on our wall. Tony was a gracious, energetic, and warm welcoming presence, as well - to us always, and as he volunteered to work with two of our grandchildren as they explored painting on canvas. And his knowledge of and love of music simply put joy in the air as they painted and fun in his creative space.
We will miss Tony deeply, and we embrace you, Kerry, and his entire family as you move through this time of grief.
With warm blessings,
Anita Carlson-Allen and Chris Allen
Prayers and strength to the Filiberto Family. We were honored to know Tony and to experience his light.
I graduated with Tony from Lynch High School in 1966. I surely appreciate Tony's leadership at Liberty House in Amsterdam where my Mom greatly benefited from services there............thank you Tony for the goodness and light you gave to the world.

Thoughts to the family
I remember “Ant” and his buddies from AHS. He was a sweet guy and a lot of fun. I’m so sorry for his passing.
We are so sorry to learn of A Paul’s passing. Met up a couple of times with him at studio. So sorry for your loss!
Just had to share that we bought the cityscape he’s painting in the above photo. Seeing it was a beautiful reminder of his talents.
We are deeply sorry to hear about Tony's passing. We met Kerry and Tony in Provincetown and became fast friends and business neighbors. He was full of talent and a very kind man. He will be missed and always remembered. Wishing his family peace during this difficult time.

Tony was a true visionary at Liberty.......as a new Liberty board member I learned much from Tony and Frank....we also enjoyed many social gatherings as well as a few ski days, another of his many talents....
Marcia and I send our condolences to Kerry and family....

Tony and I worked together at Liberty in our hometown, Amsterdam, NY supporting people with developmental disabilities and others in need. In addition to reporting to Tony for 16 years, he was a mentor and friend.
He was an extremely talented and intelligent man but most importantly, he cared deeply about others, especially those less fortunate.
My sincere condolences to Kerry, Chris, Greg and the rest of his family.
