Mrs. Anna Mae "Evelyn" Jordan, 84, died Tuesday night (March 27, 2012) at Southlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville, FL following a long illness. She was a native of Appling County and graduated from Waycross High School but lived most of her life in Jacksonville, FL. She was a homemaker and avid bowler who not only loved life but also enjoyed needlework and crossword puzzles. Mrs. Jordan was a daughter to the late Walter Aaron Beasley and Anna Lawrence Beasley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mullis Monroe Jordan; a daughter, Jan "Stormy" Washington; two sisters, Faustine Jewell (husband Johnnie) and Billie Beasley; and a brother, James "J.L." Beasley (wife Carolyn). The survivors include a son, Jim Jordan (wife Tina) of Switzerland, FL; a granddaughter, Jessica Lynn of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Hilda Beasley Jordan of Dixie Union; and her loving dog, Toby. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday (March 31, 2012) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Hephzibah Cemetery.
