I’m so fortunate to have met Andy from my dear friend Bethany. He was super hardworking, smart, and extremely humble. Andy would always give brotherly advice, financial or even life. Anyone could tell that he truly cared about his loved ones and touched all of us with his kindness.

Andy was an incredibly bright and pragmatic student and community- minded person.

I remember as an ice breaker when asked,”Whats one thing you’d like to eat the rest of your life?” He level-heatedly said, “yams; they’re high in fiber and nutrients and I like their taste.” (And then smirked a bit at the clever answer).

Andy approached so much of life this way - playful and joyful, polite and persistently kind.

He was a youth I’ll remember teaching, always, and am grateful to have had the chance.
