Hi there,

First & foremost, thank you so much to everyone who donated to one of these beneficiaries in my mother's name! I know she'd be really floored at the outpouring of support.  I wanted to share information on my mother's memorial for anyone who may not be on Facebook, or hasn't seen an invite come through (having a tough time inviting people I'm not friends with). I'm really hoping to get as many of her friends there as possible to help make this feel like as meaningful of a celebration as a same-week funeral would've been. This is open to anyone & everyone who loved her, so please feel free to share.

July 11th would've been my mother's 60th birthday, so it felt appropriate to celebrate her when we otherwise would've thrown a bash.

Once she was diagnosed last September, it brought me a little bit of comfort to be able to chat with her about how she'd like to be honored when the time came. She wanted something fun, upbeat, bright, and nontraditional. So we landed on a "garden party" theme of sorts.

WHERE: We're holding this party at McCormick's Creek (Centennial Shelter), a place that holds a lot of meaning for my family. The shelter is large & covered, so we should still be good to go even if it rains.

OTHER DETAILS:

• We'll have food (TBD) & music

• And we'll devote some time for a Eulogy, and will open the floor to anyone who wants to say some kind words or fill us in on shenanigans you may have gotten into together.
