I worked with Amy in the financial aid office at UD around 1984-87. She was a bright light and so much fun to be with. I saw her name in the In Memoriam section of the most recent edition of the UD Magazine and was so sad to learn of her passing. I just wanted to send my deepest sympathies to her family and friends and let you know that she touched my life many years ago.

My sister was my best friend growing up. Every time she tried out for cheerleading I would write a letter to her I will never forget when she lost!!!! Cheryl parents paid for this

Amy was always the voice of reason. Over the years, new methodologies, technologies, tests, procedures, evaluations, etc. were rolled out and she had a way of smiling, listening, and understanding that allowed teachers to take a breath and tackle yet another change. She was trusted and beloved.

I’ve struggled to find words that properly express my feelings at Amy’s death. Over the past few days I’ve cried, laughed, and smiled so much as my memories and love for Amy fill my heart and mind. She was such a dear friend, mentor, and supporter. We dug into data to see our students take big strides. We planned professional development, retreats, and celebrations together. We had deep conversations on power walks and on the couch in pajamas. We shared a love of books, learning, family, friends, and faith. Although Amy has left this earth, she remains with me, still sharing so many moments.
I’m holding her dear children, grandchildren, Scott, and her tribe of close friends in my prayers. Much love to all of you.

Amy was one of a kind. She was like a breath of fresh air when she joined the admin team at GCCS. Her energy was amazing and contagious. She was so genuine and always wanted the best for our schools. She was definitely missed when she left but I was so happy to know she was retiring to Florida where I hoped she would enjoy a well deserved rest. Prayers to all who loved Amy❤️🙏

Amy was one of the first new people I met when I started at GCCS in 2011. She quickly became my go to for all things. I had the absolute pleasure of working alongside of her, and I know I am a better teacher and person because of her. A hole was left when she left GCCS, and I know myself and many others still miss her greatly. Sending lots of prayers to you as you navigate a world without this wonderful woman in it.

Bridie, Molly and all of Amy’s loved ones,
I am so sorry to hear of Amy’s passing. I watched Bridie, Amy and Conor grow up in my family’s restaurant. Amy and the kids became my friends. I shared many joys with them as well as some sorrows. Amy was always positive and lived her life with an open heart .
I know how much she loved her family, and how happy she was to have found her love and partner Scott.
Sending love, healing and peace to the family, as well as gratitude for having the privilege of being small part in Amy’s life.

I have to many stories to choose from, but I have so many fond memories sitting on the patio at her apartment, just hanging out with her and Connor, telling stories, making fun of each other and laughing oh so much. She was loved just as she loved, endlessly! She will be so missed!
