I am completely shocked to hear this news. I met Amrita at the 2024 Gender Conference and I could immediately tell that she was extremely kind, approachable, and could light up a room with her happy demeanor. Sending lots of love to the family.

Beyond sadden to hear this news! Still recall to this day the formally meeting Amrita at the Mission-wide retreat. She greeted me the biggest smile and said, "Hi Marsha! I'm Amrita from Hyderabad. It's so great to finally meet you!" Her warm smile and gentle spirit even in that moment was something I needed, and she did not know. My prayers are with the her family and friends; along with colleagues/friends at USAID/India. May her legacy continue to leave a mark.

I'm so sorry to hear this devastating news. I'm still a bit in shock. Amrita and her husband would come to my house in Delhi with others. They were part of the "crew" and we would play some hilariously fun games of Sherades ! She was forever warm and kind. I think she was also part of our epic Lodhi Gardens picnic as well. She's in many of my pictures from my time being posted with USAID/India. She will remain dear in my heart. BIG hugs to her nearest and dearest.
