Your life was a blessing, your memory a forever treasure…

Alice D. Pirog passed away at the age of 67 on June 2, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family at home, and is at peace after a long battle with cancer. Alice was born on June 22, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Stanley and Petronela Budkiewicz.

Alice married her husband Mark Pirog, in November of 1977 and welcomed their only child Ryan Pirog in October of 1986. They moved as a family to Hudson, Ohio in 1992 where Alice lived the rest of her life. Alice had been employed with Kobelco as a buyer, and retired in 2021.

Alice was survived by her husband Mark of 45 years. Son Ryan (Megan) Pirog, granddaughters Emma and Lily Pirog. Her sister Terrie Strickland, niece Corrie Strickland and nephew Larry Strickland.

Together as a family they enjoyed traveling, BBQs, concerts and spending time with family and friends. Alice loved traveling and on the top of her list was always a place in the sun and sand. Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic was her favorite destination, and per her request where her ashes will be peacefully spread to rest.

Alice was a devoted Christian and member of Christ Community Chapel in Hudson. She enjoyed her weekly bible study with whom she had made many loving connections with friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday June 23rd lead by pastor Mark Lile. It will be at Christ Community Chapel in Hudson. 750 W. Streetsboro Street, Hudson, OH 44236. Calling hours 10am-11am, memorial service and celebration of life at 11am with lunch following.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of Alice’s physicians and nurses at the Cleveland Clinic and hospice care. As well as the support from her community friends and family. Alice was truly a treasure to many, and will be deeply missed.
