Alan's obituary

Alan Raymond Smith went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 23, 2021, at age 66 he succumbed to his illness. Alan was born to James and Delores Smith on February 11, 1955, in Oakland, CA but a resident of Yuma, AZ for the last 13 years. As a child, he was an altar boy and a loving, kind role model to his 6 brothers, Jim, Gary, Donny, Mike, Robert, George and a sister, Rose in Hayward, CA. Alan joined the Air Force at 18 and met his first wife Sandra Bailey and had three kids. After being honorable discharge from Air Force Alan took over the family business Highland Upholstery in Hayward, CA. Alan was involved in community activities by coaching baseball Highland Hellcats in Hayward, CA. Little did he know he would later become Legendary Smitty/Conway Smitty for the Sales industry especially RV industry and will be missed in the RV industry as a great friend and great Salesmen. Singing and creating songs was a special talent/hobby of his. He loved to get up on stage to sing with the California Cowboys and his little brother Robert W. Smith. Alan met his wife, Jan Goldsboro in 2004 at Yuma, AZ when he was doing an RV show. They married in March 2008 and combined their household together with his 3 older adult children and her 2 older adult children, Cory Smith, Kathleen Smith-Thomas, Rebecca Smith-Cook, Bobby Goldsboro and Shandra Goldsboro. He loved to help in any way possible and joined Yuma Elks Lodge which became one of his greatest memberships and retired as an Exalter Ruler. He was involved in many groups, Ducks Unlimited, American Rifle Association, Sun City Rotary Club and so many other clubs. His hopes and dreams are family/friend's reunions. Having everyone together under one roof. He was patriotic man and loved his country. Alan "Smitty" will be missed by so many people. Alan now joins his mother, father, brother Jim, brother Gary and brother Mike in Heaven. He is survived by Cory Alan Smith (son) and Tiffany Smith (wife of Cory), Alicia Smith and Freddy with 2 great grand kids, Salina Smith (grandkid), Christian (grandkid), Kathleen Smith-Thomas (daughter) two kids Chloe (grandkid) and JR (grandkid), Rebecca Smith-Cook (daughter) and Justin Cook (son in-law) their 5 kids Brianna (grandkid), Gabrielle (grandkid), Madeleine (grandkid), Lukas (grandkid), and Jacqueline (grandkid), Bobby Goldsboro (stepson) and wife Liana two kids Kylie (grandkid) and Kaiden (grandkid) and 3 brothers Robert W. Smith, Donny Smith, George Smith and Rose Smith and many nieces, nephews, cousins, lifelong friends and RV Buddies.
