To my best friend. I have missed you for a long time. Always a good  time together, so many memories! I will truly miss you and cherish the great memories. Love you buddy! The "BOY"
Watching Al’s eyes sparkle with pure pride and joy at the baby shower for his sweet grandson Maximus will be the picture etched in my mind any time his name comes up. Such a proud father and grandfather. May he rest peacefully ❤️ prayers for the healing of the hearts he left behind. Lots of love to Reno, Tiana, Robin, Maximus, Aubbie, and Axel

We got to know Al while he was staying with his sister Drue in Sarasota. We had dinners, played games and had a lot of laughs together. Al loved the pool, he was there almost everyday and he was liked by several of our neighborhood ladies.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Al new how to prepare for a hurricane,  that’s him at my house in the hot tub just hours before Irma hit Marco.  Karen and Tom will miss you dearly.  Enjoy that big concert in the sky!
I remember when I first came to the island about 40 years ago, Al opened up the first Big Al’s in the town center. I would walk over from my real estate office and get lunch every day. I was always greeted by Al’s big smile and a big “hello Robbie, what are you gonna have today?”.  He learned my name early on and the things I liked, and he was always full of cheer and enthusiasm. I looked forward to seeing him and his sandwiches were the best. I know everyone had the same experience with Al. He had a gift of making everyone feel important. I know he’ll be sorely missed by his family and friends and everyone in this community.
The world was a better place because of “big” Al.  He just had a way of  making people feel good.  I know I’m a better person because I called him my friend.  My condolences to his family. 💙
