I am trying to get a death certificate for my mother and am trying to find which hospice took care of her and where she was cremated. Please let me know if you took care of her. Her name is Virginia Michael and she passed on 11-24-2023 and she lived in Lincoln Maine. Thank you Becky Michael – Becky M.

Dear Hospice Owner/Personnel,

We as a family thank you for support during this trying time in our lives and end of life
of our loved one. Most all of ... Read moreyour personnel were as accomidating and caring as was possible
at this time. We realize coming down off a Pandemic of Covid-19, and the continuing of, has
crippled the work field for hiring. However we experienced some hiccups in the service as we
are sure others have also. When problems arrived they were addressed right away by myself the
prime caretaker and most problems were resolved. The problems that couldn't be rectified were
those that were effected by lack of staff. The Nurses and Nurses Aids worked their loving
hearts out, by agreeing to change of times, jobs to help with, to even sitting and
consoling/listening to me the caretaker. I too was burned out with all the care needed
to keep my loved one comfortable during the last 3-4 months as the patient deteriorated.
During the worst of Covid-19 Pandemic we chose to not allow anyone in our home including
your personnel. Our loved one and 2 family members were extremely compromised. Then
as the danger of the virus deminished some, we the 3 person family members were vaccinated and some
of your personnel were also. That gave us more confidence to again allow your people to enter
our home and begin helping us with the care. Especially the daily bathing which became a major development
due to patients inability to use the shower and care for themselves. That took 2 people to
manage the moving and caring of the patient quite intently during a bath. We are extremely grateful
for the help provided by the sweetest young Nurses Aid "Harmony." She would come bouncing in every
day rain or shine with the happiest of voice and smile. What a blessing she is. As patient was deteriorating
and end of life was closing in she was the blessed angel in disguise.

As time went on the care became more and more demanding. Prayers were my daily ,hourly, and moment to moment challenge.
I as the full time caretaker was deprived of much sleep. Know this.. I have a challenged Adult son also that needs
24/7 care/ supervision. When there tends to be a double whammie in one household the sole caretaker is stressed beyond the norm.
The caretaker may show signs of extreme impatience and agitation with even the smallest of irritations
from your/any business they may be dealing with. Now this is where a true professional Owner/manager,
Nurse, Nurses aid, and any staff (well trained) perform their best skills (COMPASSION and PATIENCE). I want to
commend you for the professionalism of most of your mangers and employees. The few people that I as a
caretaker may have dealt with that were not as compassionate when needed probably were stressed also. They were working on the
run, not much sleep, and had personal issues to deal with. A professional person learns not to allow
those things to compromise their behavior. Reacting in a nonprofessional manner to a 24/7 caretakers'
irritations and or their behavior is absolutely uncalled for. I know you don't have anyone like that
in your business. From Professional ,Caring, polite Jenn, to absolute helpful, kind Deb, Funny and thorough Nurse Sue,
to Darling, strong faithed, (kept me going spiritually) Darcy, organized all nurse Jaime, talkative, speedy Lorrie,
Sweet, Joyful, fast, detailed Harmony, Singing Chaplan Eric, and great emrg. night/weekend nurse Michelle THANK YOU All!!!
Most of all for putting up with me the "MOTHER HEN" of all time and acknowledging our needs, AND MY COMPLAINTS, during
a job I have never done before. I have never cared for a person at END OF LIFE, had no idea the extreme pressures
one endures through to their last breath. Wow with most of your help we made it to a peaceful ending for my
loving husband of 39+ years. At the end I was pleading in prayer for him to just go to sleep peacefully. God / JESUS
heard my prayers. The demands of his illness ended in peace. Thank you God ,Thank you JESUS !!!, and "Kindred Hospice."

Now I'm asking for your forgiveness as I forgive those few I felt were not performing as I felt they should. If I used harsh
wordage and raised my voice in moments of stress I strongly apologise. I forgive those that reacted inappropriately to
my stress. If your reactions to me were due to personal stress in your lives I'm sorry for that. Suggestions: there are
people out there trained to help you with that. Lord knows your employer has help for patients and families. Talk to
someone for help and then your interaction with patients and their families wont create more stress on them
due to your insecurities and nonprofessional behaviors. Yes I experienced some distressful behavior from some of you and I
forgive you. Please after reading this and I hope you all do, ask yourself could you have performed better
and more compassionate to her/him and family?? I know that I lost my cool and wished I hadn't. I reacted to your reactions to me
right away. Please forgive me for that in my darkest moments of grief with my husband and son. I'll forgive yours. :> ) <3
