Planning a funeral in Santa Clara, CA

While there are only a few funeral homes in Santa Clara, you’ll find a wealth of options in the surrounding areas of San Jose and Sunnyvale. Due to the high number of people in Santa Clara who choose cremation over burial, several Santa Clara funeral homes focus on primarily on cremation, but most will be able to help with a burial, as well.

Santa Clara has just one city-run cemetery, but there is also a private Catholic cemetery. For a wider array options, you only need to look as far as San Jose.

If you choose to have your loved one cremated, you may elect to inter their ashes in a cemetery, scatter them in a place of your choosing (check local laws first) or keep them in an urn. If you’re planning on hosting a memorial on your own or not planning to have one, the only service you may need from a funeral home is a direct cremation.
