Lebanon Cemetery is owned by the City of Apple Valley. The City’s Cemetery Advisory Committee, which is composed of Apple Valley residents, makes recommendations to the City Council to adopt regulations relating to the operation, care, and maintenance of Lebanon Cemetery of Apple Valley. These include regulations relating to plants and decorations.
Lebanon Cemetery welcomes live or artificial flowers and plants in single stake plant holders for in-ground or boulder burials. Other planters, vases, and containers or items made of glass or other breakable material are prohibited and subject to immediate removal. Balloons, solar lights, wind chimes, windmills, stuffed animals, and other ornaments are prohibited and subject to immediate removal. All cemetery policies and regulations are shared with customers.
These regulations allow staff to properly maintain the cemetery, avoid damaging maintenance equipment, and prevent cemetery visitors and staff from coming into contact with hazards such as broken glass.
