Peggy Jean (Switzer) Samii was born December 23, 1930 in Oakland, California. At a young age, she, her older sister Dorothy and her parents, Ruth and MacDonald Switzer, moved to the Sunset District of San Francisco. As a young girl, she played in the sand dunes along the Great Highway and swam at Fleishhacker Pool. She attended Parkside Elementary and Lincoln High Schools. She met her future husband, Farhad Samii, shortly after …
