Leroy Phillips was born in Thebes, Arkansas to proud parents Ceaward and Ada Phillips on March 14, 1956. He was the seventh child of nine siblings. When Leroy was six months old Ceaward and Ada moved west to San Francisco, California in 1956 to make a better life for their family. The decision to move to the ”Golden State” created great opportunities for the Phillips family, which would eventually set them up for generations to …
