I will akways remember Zsolt as a very kind and helpful colleague. We both worked at the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe in Szentendre, Hungary. My deepest condolences to Zsolt's family and friends. 

So many good memories, thank you for everything Zsolt.

On Tuesday morning I have heard the shocking and heartbreaking news that my former dear colleague is no more with us… I contacted via telephone and sms his daughters, Dorka and Bogi who confirmed the unbelievable news that their father is no more with us…. I recalled memories from the past…I first met Zsolt Bauer almost 20 years ago in the REC where we worked together for almost 14 years. Zsolt Bauer not only was an excellent professional (PR, communication, media….) but one on the rare human beings on earth with a big and kind heart eager to help all who needed it… We could always count on him. He put his whole heart into his job, work and thousands of projects…. Just to mention an important mile stone in his life that he helped the Climate Reality Project for more than 10+ years. He with his colleagues were instrumental in the Istanbul training and later in setting up the Climate Reality Europe branch where he continued his professional carrier with passion, devotion and care. I remember Zsolt as a warm, cooperative, supportive person whom I will miss very much, but I am sure that from above and in our heart he will always stay with us…. through his professional legacy, engagements our memories. …I would like to express my condolences to Dorka and Bogi. May dear Zsolt  your soul rest in peace..

Switching between some form of denial and great sadness, I mourn the loss of this great man.  I remember Zsolt as being kind, generous and welcoming.  He was always a rock among our team, and made for steady waters. Zsolt, you will be deeply missed.

I will remember you, dear Zsolt as a very special person - open hearted and open-minded  inspiring so many people with your enthusiasm, passion, kindness and positive-thinking good Energy! I am very thankful that we met in summer 2018 during the Berlin CRL-Training and kept in touch since then. 

We needed Zolt, his passion, his competence and expertise, we needed him. We must take over, with him, in his name and with his spirit.

Still in total shock and extreme sadness for our dear friend Zsolt’s passing.

Words don’t come easy in such terrible circumstances.

Both heart and mind are now full of feelings, emotions and memories.

It’s very difficult to express them in words.

Zsolt was a kind, funny and caring leader and we miss him so much. He always made us (the European team) feel supported and appreciated and his passing is a massive loss. Heartfelt condolences to Zsolt's family, friends and all who knew him.

I'm so sorry to hear this very sad news. Like many others, I met Zsolt through work with Climate Reality, where I really appreciated his warmth and encouragement, passion and positivity. I have very fond memories of working within the team of mentors for Berlin 2018 and sharing a good laugh with Zsolt about who he should call boss (Al Gore or his daughter)! I send my condolences to Zsolt's family and friends - he will be remembered very fondly and leaves a legacy of such important environmental work.

I met Zsolt two years, working together on an event for the COP in Glasgow. He was wonderfully thoughtful with his words, kind, patient. It was a pleasure to do the event with him then and even more to work with him on similar climate actions. I will miss his kind eyes and warm voice. My deepest condolences to all who loved and admired him. 

I am really shocked and saddened to hear the news, my deepest condolences to Zsolt's family. I am one of the unfortunate ones who hadn't met Zsolt in person, but whenever we were in the same meeting - I felt so welcomed, motivated and grounded by his leadership and kindness. You have left a long-lasting impact and a great legacy in the Climate Reality's international branches community.

Dearest Zsolt, Whilst our paths crossed briefly during the year of cop 26, to a novice climate activist like myself, your help and guidance during that time was immense. Always available, giving direction and guidance whenever needed. It is with the fondest of memories and great sadness. RIP, you will be greatly missed

Zsolt, I am wishing you an easy passing with deep sadness in my heart! Zsolt left a truly positive impact on me, because of how easy he was to work with, his deep care to find solutions to climate change, and the way he was with people: welcoming, warm and open. Since 2016 when we first connected, we kept in touch and for some periods we collaborated, he was wonderful to work with and VERY human. I shared some photos of 2017 when we worked with Zsolt to organize the screening of An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, the screening happened at Cinema Galeries, Galerie de la Reine 26, Brussels. It was an epic event and we had a lot of fun. Thank you for everything Zsolt, I trust we lost one light, and you will always be remembered for your service and kind heart. 

My deepest condolences to the Bauer family. 

Zsolt led with his heart and inspired action wherever he was. I first met Zsolt in person at the CRP training in Brazil, where I also had the chance to meet Dorka. He had just recently taken on the role of branch manager at CRP and settled in the new role very naturally.

As I write this, I still can't believe that Zsolt is no longer with us. We mentioned a few times that it would be fun to meet in person the next time I visited Europe; I'm saddened that this didn't get to happen. I keep fond memories of the moments I had the chance to share and collaborate with Zsolt, and only wish they had been more. His passion for climate work, his generosity, his wisdom and his energy were truly inspiring, and I often found myself impressed and humbled by his strategic, pragmatic, yet optimistic approach to climate solutions.

I send my deepest condolences to his family and close ones in this difficult time. Though he'll be deeply missed, know that Zsolt's passion and legacy will live on through all the lives he touched and inspired through his climate advocacy work. 

I am deeply saddened to hear the news of the sudden passing of Zsolt Bauer, the former head of The Climate Reality Project Europe and a dear friend. He worked tirelessly for the cause and was always a good listener, helpful, and friendly to everyone. Zsolt was a true climate hero, and I have so much to thank him for. Dear Zsolt, you meant so much to many Climate Reality leaders, and you deserve all the praise. We will continue the fight in your honor! May you rest in peace. My thoughts go out to your family and loved ones. 

This is very sad news. I knew Zolts for many years when he was associated with the Regional Environmental Center in Budapest. A man of great knowledge and commitment especially such people are a pity.
