We mourn the loss of a remarkable man, Zhengjian Li, who departed from this world on February 11, 2025. Born in 1969 in Xinjiang, China, he led a life full of achievement and dedication, etching an indelible mark in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to cross his path.

Zhengjian, fondly referred to as ZJ, was known for his unwavering tenacity. His journey from the rural countryside of China to Tsinghua University stands as a testament to his passion and ambition. After meeting his wife Jun; he ventured all the way to the United States, chasing a greater opportunity for his Family. A figurehead in the BioTech Industry, ZJ was a pillar of strength and a beacon of inspiration for his peers.

Beyond his professional accolades, what truly defined ZJ was his character. He was a paragon of responsibility, dependability, and leadership. The man was often known for having an optimistic, one track mind. Despite his intelligence, he often believed in simplicity and the idea that "less is more". One of his greatest lessons was his belief in the power of effort, a principle he lived by and instilled in everyone around him. 

Zhengjian's accomplishments in the field of pharmaceuticals were life-changing for countless patients. His immense contributions towards cancer research led to the saving of numerous lives, a legacy he leaves behind. His true leadership, however, extended well beyond his job; he was a guiding light in the lives of many as not an authority- but as a friend.

ZJ leaves behind his beloved wife, Jun Miao, his pillar, his strength, and his confidant. As well as three children Christopher, Isabelle, and Sophia. His loss leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memories and learnings will always live in the hearts of those he left behind.

Even as we mourn the loss of ZJ, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest. His legacy is one of kindness, belief, and effort. His indomitable spirit will continue to inspire us, and his memory will forever be cherished.
