Zelma's obituary
Lorene was born May 7, 1935 in Hunt County, TX to Lethal Wilson and Jazie Thornton Wilson. She was raised and educated in Lone Oak. She married Orville Ray Davis on October 21, 1955, in Point, Texas. She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church for 52 years and loved the Lord. She was retired from the Garland Independent School District, after 20 years of service, working at Memorial Middle School, South Garland High School and Naaman Forest High School. Lorene attended Lone Oak High School and graduated as salutatorian in 1952. Lorene loved southern gospel music and enjoyed listening to and watching the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Stars .
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Orville Ray Davis, brothers, George Wilson, Denton Wilson and Billie Wilson, sister, Patsy Marie Regan, step-daughter, Linda Davis Brumley East and several nephews and niece.
She is loved and will be missed by her son, Michael Davis of Valley View, TX, and daughter Nancy Ramsey and husband Sam of Erie, CO; grandsons, Trevor Black of Dallas, TX, Cooper Ramsey and wife, Tyler of Erie, CO, Nolan Ramsey of Erie, CO; granddaughters, Sophie Parker and husband Ethan of Lynchburg, VA, Mackenzie Ramsey and fiancée Reese Hoopes of Erie, CO, Melinda Latte and husband Tray of Caddo Mills, TX; great grandsons Layne Latte and Coy Latte both of Caddo Mills, TX; great granddaughter Sophia Latte of Caddo Mills,TX; sister-in-law, Elaine Eubanks of Colorado Springs, CO and Margie Easterwood and husband Bill of Lone Oak, TX; nieces, Caroline Pallitta and husband Pasqule of Farmers Branch, TX, Deleathia Garner and husband Tony of Lone Oak, TX, Joey Goodwin of Colorado Springs, CO, Jamie McCasland and husband Cameron of Nashville, TN; nephew Ben Wilson and wife Sandra of Alvarado, TX, James Regan and wife Jeannie of Mesquite, TX, Mickey Wilson of Lone Oak, TX, Tim Wilson of Lone Oak, TX, Mark Davis and wife Kristen of Aubrey, TX, and Matt Davis of Sherman, TX; and many great nephews and nieces.
The family would like to thank the many friends who have visited Lorene over the years and those who have helped take Lorene to doctor visits and errands.
The family would also like to thank Lorene’s doctors and caregivers: Robert Andersen, Martin Berk, Brian Lé, Amit Desai, Kathryn Wang, and the staff of Amity Hospice and the nurses from No Place Like Homes.
