In one's lifetime there are few people that enter your heart and change it forever. For me, Zelda is one of those very rare individuals. The first couple of hours that we met were profound. We were soulmates. Our minds often working in unison and feeling the same emotions. She dispensed sound loving honest advice to me at a time when that help carried a message that I needed to hear. She reminded me that to be grateful for what life had in store each day was one of the secrets to being happy. To have and open mind and open heart was key to having and being a friend and even finding a
"special" friend. Zelda shared in that joy with me!
A visit to see and meet Zelda with my "special" friend was our first date. She will always be a shining memory and never be forgotten..ever!

There wasn't a more beautiful 99 year old woman than Zelda. I had the pleasure of taking care of her during the last year of her life. Zelda, "Beauty" as I called her, was the first stop on my morning rounds. Her blue eyes lit up my day. We will all miss her at Liberty Commons. She was quite a lady.
May she rest in peace.

In late 2015 my wife and I moved to Heatherwood, where Zelda very quickly became one of my wife’s favorites, and visa-versa. When my wife passed just two years later, Zelda grieved along with me and remained enormously kind and supportive to me as time went on. We enjoyed many visits and conversations together, and a few Cape Playhouse plays, while she lived at Heatherwood, and we continued the visits once Zelda moved to Liberty Commons. She had plenty of great stories, conveyed with humor and wisdom, and spoke with great pride of her family, and particularly about the experience of her grandson’s marriage and the arrival of her first great granddaughter. Zelda was much appreciated and will be long remembered. Margo, and her family, have my sincere condolence at this time of loss.

I just want to say how sorry I am for your loss. Zelda was a very special woman. She is my inspiration. Some days I would be feeling very low in energy and I would think to myself, well, if Zelda can do it, then so can I. She just loved her family so much. We would swap stories and I always found myself mesmerized by her life adventures. She was so strong, so kind and so loving. I will miss her so.
