Forever in my heart. Love you, miss you always sweet Zak. ❤️❤️❤️
One of the things I miss about him is his laugh. A combination between his laugh and his smile could improve anyone’s mood. Such a sweet soul. 🩵

This squeeze from Zak was such a comfort. 💛
Zak is and will continue to be one of my greatest teachers in life.
Starting with unconditional love. One is generally gifted the understanding and experience of unconditional love when having a child but Zak also taught me by his example. He didn’t hold any long term grudges. He taught me how to see people for who they are and not how I might like them to be.
A true teacher walks their talk and teaches through example.
That was Zak.
He taught me acceptance for what is over and over again by how he accepted things as they are.
He showed me how after you get knocked down repeatedly, to get back up. Whether from his struggles with his health or addiction. He persevered time and time again.
Zak had a great big heart and loved deeply. He always said, “I love you moma’ before we got off the phone and his hugs were truly divine.
He dearly loved his younger brother Mason and was very proud of him and his mad gaming skills.
Zak was bright, handsome, wicked funny, sweet and insightful.
Zak dreamed of being a successful musician. He was a talented song writer, he wrote about his life.
He had a lot of charisma when he rapped or belted out some loud tunes
Which would make Mason and I cringe, at times. ☺️
Zak dreamed big and lived big with kindness, integrity and so much love.
Zak was and is my hero♥️

Our family took our big trip to Japan in 2007. I must’ve been six or seven, Zak must’ve been 11. At the time Nintendo DS was all the rage, and I would watch over Zak and Mason‘s shoulders adoringly as they played Pokémon and whatever other games. They were my role models growing up and I wanted to be them/be a part of everything they did. I'm sure I annoyed them but they were so patient with me. I think we were on the plane when Zak casually gifted his DS to me. I was surprised then, and I’m surprised when I think about it now. I honestly can’t believe an 11-year-old boy would give his annoying little cousin his DS, just to be nice. I still have it (works perfectly) and every time I bring it out I tell my friends this story. Zak had the biggest heart and showed it in the humblest ways, since he was little. I miss him so much ❤️❤️
We are so very sorry for your loss. We are thinking about both of you.

I took Zak duck hunting once at Don Edward’s on the south side of the bay. There were ducks flying everywhere and Zak was just sitting there unable to move because there were spiders in the blind. We didn’t get a single duck. Zak really hated spiders.
