Zachary's obituary
Zachary Christopher Wild
"It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Zachary Christopher Wild, who left us too soon on May 26, 2025, at the young age of 32. Zach lived a life that embodied boundless generosity, a spirit he knew was more blessed to give than to receive. His heart knew no limits when it came to giving of himself.
Zach was not merely present in life; he embraced it with an unyielding zest, cherishing every moment. Even in death, his generous spirit shone through as an organ donor, offering the gift of life to others. He was a beloved brother and a devoted son, a beautiful soul whose care and compassion touched everyone he encountered. A thrill-seeker and an adventurer, Zach found joy in the simple pleasures of music, the great outdoors, and the shared camaraderie of food, whether he was preparing it or savoring it. He lived a life to the fullest, dedicating himself to creating cherished memories and spending precious time with his family and friends.
Though Zach is no longer with us in body, his vibrant spirit and loving memory will forever reside in the depths of our hearts.
He leaves behind a heartbroken but loving family: his mother and father, Curt and Christy Wild; his three devoted brothers, Grant, Cameron, and Jacob Wild; his sister-in-laws, Courtney Wild, Brittany Wild and Lily Hummel; and his beautiful niece and nephew, Monroe Alexandrea and his namesake Cooper Christopher Wild. He is also survived by his loving grandparents, Thomas and Samantha Wild, and Donald and Marilyn Wappel. He is also survived by a large and loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will cherish his memory.
A Catholic Mass will be held to celebrate Zach's life at St. Paul Catholic Church on Saturday, May 31st, at 10:00 AM. The church is located at 1755 Harrison Blvd, Valparaiso, IN, 46385.
A visitation will also take place at Dyke's Funeral Home, located at 2305 N Campbell, Valparaiso, IN, 46385, from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM on Saturday, May 31st.
Following the services, all are invited to gather for a drink, a bite to eat, and to share stories and memories about Zach at a restaurant to be determined. Your presence and shared recollections will be a comfort to the family.
