I have so many memories of good times with Zach, especially when a bunch of us would pile in the convertible for a Sunday Morning Sidewalk to Ohio after a long night around the bonfire, but I think my favorite is more recent. About a year ago, we talked on the phone, after not seeing or speaking to each other for a long time, for two hours straight! We reminisced and laughed, talked about our lives now and confided in each other about our struggles. We listened to The Last Waltz together (yes, over the phone) and just had a great talk. Zach was good for that. A great listener, who genuinely cared about what you had to say. He was one of those guys that would do anything for anyone. He called me back the next day, but I missed the call so he left me a voicemail to tell me how much he had enjoyed and appreciated our conversation the night before. I now wish I had held on to that voicemail but it makes me feel grateful that I could be there for him and he for me at that time. He’s got a lot of friends that will miss him dearly.

I am so, so sorry for the loss of Zach. He was a great guy as a friend and coworker. Deepest condolences to his family, Drew, Cole, Scot, Thad, Tricia, and family; Linda, Pat and Teta; Latoya Flood, and Tonica Combs. Zach was a big part of my life once Drew was born 29 years ago. I am Drew's mother's mother and I think it was Zach who came up with my nickname "Grammy D." Zach and I talked quite a bit at Drew and Sydney's wedding in June. He told me that he really liked Sydney and thought that she was perfect for Drew, I will really miss him.

This guy right here is a wild one. He was welcoming open arms to my brother and I. He’s one great guy. My brother and I and sister in law got to ride our motorcycles together with Zach. He introduced us to riding over to the flat drags it was a awesome time. Thanks to this guy we got to experience this and had a great person to show this to us. You will be missed Zach fly high my friend.
