Yvonne's obituary

After a difficult battle with Ovarian Cancer, Yvonne Marie Thomas passed away on March 24, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Seattle, Washington to Gloria Sandoz and Homer Tolibert, Yvonne was described as a quiet, thoughtful and happy child.  Yvonne was passionate about reading, crochet, knitting and sewing from a very young age and participated in different activities and hobbies over the years.
In 1966, Yvonne met Gene Thomas Sr. and immediately fell in love. They went on to be married for 44 years and had 2 children together. Yvonne was a fiercely devoted mother, raising two equally kind and devoted children, Gene Jr. and Janelle.

Yvonne was our biggest cheerleader and our constant supporter. Our family would not be where it is today if we didn’t have Yvonne as a mother. Yvonne was predeceased by her husband Gene Thomas Sr.  She leaves behind her mother Gloria Sandoz, siblings Patricia Flournoy, Homer Tolibert, Jr. & Leanne Hall, son Gene Jr,  daughter Janelle, step-daughter Mashell Moss, daughter in law Tabitha Thomas and grandchildren Tony, Danielle, Bridgette, Alyssa and great-grandchildren Daeton, Asher, Ryus, Elius and Arya. Services will be held via zoom and in-person (invitation only) on May 13, 2022 at 3pm.
