My heart and love go out to you Ron and your family.  God's blessings to all of you.  I wished I would have met your Bonnie.  She is beautiful.  She is up in heaven continuing all her good works as she was doing here with you.

Death Is Nothing At All

Death is nothing at all.

I have only slipped away to the next room.

I am I and you are you.

Whatever we were to each other,

That, we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name.

Speak to me in the easy way

which you always used.

Put no difference into your tone.

Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed

at the little jokes we enjoyed together.

Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.

Let my name be ever the household word

that it always was.

Let it be spoken without effect.

Without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant.

It is the same that it ever was.

There is absolute unbroken continuity.

Why should I be out of mind

because I am out of sight?

I am but waiting for you.

For an interval.

Somewhere. Very near.

Just around the corner.

All is well.

Henry Scott Holland [1847 - 1918]    He was an English clergyman and  Regius Professor of Divinity at the University of Oxford.

Bonnie was a second mother to me. She took me everywhere and was always organizing outings for Robin an myself. I learned so much from her about grace. A particular memory that served me well later in life was not to go swimming with treated hair. I have such vivid memories of her at the Swimland pot lucks protesting that here hair woul turn green if the boys threw her in the pool!

Bonnie was a cherished part of our family history.  We became friends with all the Reeds in the 60's and she was an amazing role model to us.  She was so smart, funny, hip and generous.  I love her dearly and always think of her as a wonderful friend.  My condolences, Ron.  You had a wonderful marriage and friendship.  Please know that you're in my thoughts. ❤

Ron,

I am sorry that you have lost your life partner.  Only time can heal your heart.  Keep her in your heart and take every day as a blessing.
