When I think of Yvonne, she is "Yvonne Moore" to me. I met her during my years as a financial advisor and then co-founder of Boyer Corporon Wealth Mgt. Yvonne and I worked well together when I was in LA for a visit or she in KC. I was always eager to hear her Olivea stories and valued the relationship they had as mother and daughter. Yvonne cherished my first and second born and was always interested in updated photos of our adventures. She was a smart as a whip, humorous and pragmatic. I learned quickly that I couldn't eat the spicy food she adored but I loved the color she brought into my life. Hearing of her passing saddened me, immediately. She was a friend and I know an angel. My love to all of you who are family! - Mindy

We were one of the first families Yvonne stayed with when she became an US citizen. The moment I met her I told her wow your name is Yvonne. My middle name is Yvonne so I know we’re gonna click and we did ,she became the big sister I never had, when she first came to the US, she didn’t know how to drive and I taught her how to drive she wanted to go to school to become an accountant. I drove her to and from school she didn’t really have a job but I did so if I had a dollar , she had $.50 we became so close she loved sweet potatoes in any form that came in. She said I’ll do the housework and iron. If you just cook me some sweet potatoes I told her you have a deal! Just yesterday I went to Cracker Barrel and I ordered a baked sweet potato and I went to pay for it, and they said no charge , I said wow really they said yeah you have a special reward. I know that was her telling me , that I got you, Sis and I’m still with you. She was truly a true God sister, sent by God and he put her into my life and I thank God for the journey that we explored together and I will cherish her forever! Thank you God sister for being there for me in every way you could and you did that ! I’m gonna miss you, but you’ll be in my heart forever and ever, I will still check on Olivia and your grandbaby and family you were such an extra ordinary woman and that’s why I made you my daughters Godmother.Thank you for your love ,integrity, and being there for me when nobody else was. I’m gonna miss you so much. My heart is broken, but I do know that God makes no mistakes and takes the best and make them guardian angels. so I know you’ll always be in my heart. I love you Yvonne And I thank God for the memories that we shared through this journey. Always remember your Godsister, Gail Yvonne Taylor ❤️😘

Yvonne was my godmother .. I remember going to her house during the summer and having so much fun. She would take me and my God sister shopping all the time and every night I Remer her eating a sweet potato lol.. I remember sweet stories she would tell me bout the Bahamas. She was such a 🥰 perfect God parent .. I could call her in time of need to cry to or just for advice. She loved me so much.. and gave so much love ❤️. She was by my side when my grandma passed and during some hard times in my life. I regret not calling her more often within the last couple of years and my heart really hurts that I'll never hear her voice again with that strong Bahamian accent.. my beautiful Godmother I'll love and remember you forever!!! Love always your godbaby..nikia

Yvonne loved fish but did not like the smell of fish in her well appointed, beautiful kitchen. So she did fry fish in her kitchen but a good amount of time was put aside to completely rid the house of any scent that would suggest fish was fried there. And all of her L A sisters could look forward to getting their pckg of fish when she fried it. It was of course delicious and well seasoned. I was so happy when i was added to that list of friends who could look forward to Yvonne’s fish day. I love and miss Yvonne, my walking partner. She was a beautiful, kind, generous soul. When she gave you her friendship it was unstinting. She was a loyal and forever friend that no distance could separate. Go on Yvonne and enjoy your rest, I look forward to seeing you on that glad reunion day.

Sigh! I’m still very much in shock and shattered as only a few short weeks ago, we were enjoying funloaded moments ‘doing island girls stuff’ here in Nassau. Sigh! I will miss you, most especially our long laughter filled chats, LA frolicking and Nassau visits
God knows best …
