Yvonne's obituary
Yvonne Mae Masson, born on June 4, 1964, in Tacoma, Washington, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2024.
The daughter of Daniel Thomas Jefferson IV & Bernice Olivia Jennings. Yvonne grew up in a lively household alongside three sisters and two brothers. She attended Gray Middle School and Mount High School before pursuing higher education at Tacoma Community College, where she earned her associate degree, and later continued her studies at Clackamas Community College.
Yvonne’s life was a testament to compassion and creativity. She dedicated herself to helping adults and the elderly maintain their independence in the comfort of their own homes, a calling that reflected her deeply caring nature. Beyond her work as a caregiver, Yvonne was a
gifted storyteller and writer whose words wove vivid narratives that touched the hearts of many. Her love for arts and crafts illuminated her vibrant personality and showcased her boundless imagination.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Yvonne Downey, Daniel Thomas Jefferson III, Hildred Cobb, and Thomas Mustin; her father Daniel Thomas Jefferson IV; her uncles Donald Mustin and Steve Mustin; and her aunt Kathy Broom.
Yvonne is survived by her mother Bernice Jennings and leaves behind a legacy of love through her six children: Nichole Houston, David Houston, Aaron Mustin, D'Vaughn Masson, Trevante Masson of Tacoma, WA, and Donald Masson of Arizona. She is also lovingly remembered by her six grandchildren. Her memory will also be treasured by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, co-workers, and all whose lives she touched with her kindness.
Yvonne Mae Masson will be remembered for her generous spirit and artistic soul. May those who loved her find comfort in the beauty she brought to the world.
Celebration of life to be held at Brotherhood Church of God 2124 M.L.K Jr Way Tacoma Wa 98405 on Saturday January 4th 2025 at 11:00am repast to follow next door.
