Yvette was born on July 23, 1968, in Christiansted, St. Croix, USVI, to Mr. and Mrs. Austin and Gloria Benjamin. The family moved to Miami, Florida in 1975 where Yvette resided with her parents and sisters until she left for college. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida in August 1991; an Occupational Therapy Certificate of Completion from Temple University, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in January 1997; and …
