Yu Zhao - beloved daughter, devoted wife, and cherished friend - was born on July 14, 1995, in Qingdao, China, and entered the Lord’s rest on September 8, 2025.

Yu was a soul full of love, giving herself wholly to those around her. As a daughter and friend, she radiated warmth and compassion. As a wife, she poured out devotion and care. Her steadfast commitment to her family, her friends, and to God defined the way she lived her life.

She graduated from Qingdao No. 2 High School in 2013, and went on to study Finance and Mathematics at Boston University from 2013 to 2018. From 2018 to 2020, she worked in the Real Estate Investment Banking division of Deutsche Bank. From 2020 to 2023, she served on the investment team at Edge Principal Advisors. And from 2023 to 2024, she was a hedge fund analyst at Citadel Securities.

Ambitious and determined, Yu crossed the ocean as an international student to pursue her dreams. In New York City, she walked with courage, discipline, and grace through the highly competitive world of finance. She inspired many with her blend of ambition and kindness - balancing professionalism with deep humanity.

In her final hours, Yu’s heart was filled with both joy and peace as she embraced a new spiritual calling: to dedicate her life to Jesus Christ. Her faith gave her strength, and her devotion to God was her guiding light throughout her journey.

We cannot possibly miss her more. Her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. Yet her legacy of love, faith, and perseverance will live on in all who knew her. May she find everlasting peace and comfort in the arms of our Lord.
