Yolanda M. Claxton-Johnson, 71, of Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away on March 23rd, 2021 after a hard battle with lung cancer.

Yolanda was born on August 29th, 2021 to Earl Lee Claxton and Veronica Claxton in Biloxi, Mississippi. After graduating from Sumner High in 1967, she went on to study Education at Harris-Stowe University.

After graduation, she landed her first job as a Teacher Assistant for Soldan High, kicking off a 38 career in Education.

In 1997, Yolanda met Victor Johnson, and they wed in 24, going on to have 2 children, Keisha Johnson and Victor Johnson Jr.

After retiring in 2018, Yolanda spent her time spending time with her 17 grandchildren.

Yolanda was predeceased by Earle Lee Harris. She is survived by her 17 grandchildren and 2 children’s.
