Ylonda Grigsby Jordan Brown

Ylonda Brown, age 75, of Inkster Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 11th, 2:30 am 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 17th 1949, Yolanda was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, beloved sister, auntie, cousin and dear friend to many.

Ylonda is survived by her three children: Bryant Grigsby, Gerald Jordan, and Tyanna Jordan. She was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren, who were the light of her life: Shalina Perry, Samika Perry, Gerald Love Jordan, Bryant Grigsby, Jazmin Love Jordan, Jalen Bryant Love Jordan & Jala Ylonda Love Jordan, and was preceded in death by her oldest granddaughter, Shalina. Ylonda was the loving great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren. Yolanda is survived by her two younger sisters, twin sister Sharlene Staggs and youngest sista Latisha Grigsby, and her younger brother, Jonathan Grigsby. Ylonda was the aunt of many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Odell Grigsby and Gladys Grigsby.

Known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love, Ylonda dedicated her life to her family and her close friends. She was actively involved in the lives of her family, and her compassionate/strong spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

In light of current circumstances, a virtual memorial will be held in honor of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, cousin, and dear friend to celebrate Ylonda’'s life and legacy. A Memorial Garden "Nana's Garden," will be built, honoring the life and love of our loving grandmother Ylonda Brown. Please join us online to share your memories and pay your respects. Ylonda’s legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. Ylonda Brown will be deeply missed and forever, and forever remembered.
