With deep sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Yashlal (Manubhai) Narandas Kotecha, on December 31, 2025, at the age of 89.

Yashlal was born on November 16, 1936, in Namutumba, Uganda.  He lived in Mombasa, Kenya with his family until 1974, after which he moved to Vancouver, Canada. In 1986, he settled in Jacksonville, Florida, where he resided with his family until his passing.  

He was the beloved husband of the late Ramaben Kotecha (née Ramaben Gordhandas Panchmatia of Kericho, Kenya).

He was the devoted son of the late Narandas Jinabhai Kotecha and Maniben Narandas Kotecha, and the late Dhirajben Narandas Kotecha.

He was a cherished brother of the late Hiralal Kotecha, Premila Himatlal Modi, the late Mahendra Narandas Kotecha, Harish Kotecha, Bhanu Kirit Karia, Vipul Kotecha, and Nila Kotecha.

He was a loving father to Nisha Gundavda, a proud grandfather to Neil Gundavda and Audrey Keranen, and a father-in-law to the late Rajesh Gundavda.
