Yadira's obituary
Yadi’s story began on January 19, 1987, the middle child to Doris and Benito and was born in Agua Dulce, Veracruz. Yadi spent her younger years surrounded by friends and family. Yadi was still very young when she moved to the US with her parents, older sister Yuridia, and younger brother Benito in October of 1994. Once in the US, her family resided in Santa Cruz, CA. Yadi attended Branciforte Elementary School, Branciforte Middle School, and then attended Harbor High School where she made life long friends. In 2009 Yadira married Max Haueter, and in July 2010, their daughter Riley was born. In April 2016, Max and Yadi had their son James.
Yadi's passion was a healthy lifestyle. She loved cooking the most delicious and nutritious meals for her family and would work out every day. She was energetic, bright, and active. Yadi loved fitness and heavy lifting. She always pushed herself to the limit and beyond. Yadi also had a perfect sense of style, and her impressive collection of dresses and high heel shoes showed it. In Yadi's free time, she often watched mystery non-fiction and read crime novels. Yadi had an incredible work ethic, and thrived in very physical jobs where she could be always moving. She truly loved providing for her chilren.
Yadi loved family trips to Monterey. She enjoyed seafood, beautiful beaches, the ocean breeze, and time with her loved ones in this beautiful place. Yadi was thoroughly interested in politics and enjoyed watching, reading, and followed current events closely. She volunteered in everyday community life and our mountain school, serving lunches, helping teachers, and watching children play during recess.
And so, it came as that much more of a shock when we learned of her car accident. We knew that she had so much more to give, teach, and share with her children that it was too soon. Yadira will always be remembered for her warmth and generosity, her incredible smile and infectious laugh, her brilliance and unwavering optimism, and her great mother’s heart. She set an example of courage and compassion that inspired everyone who knew her. God Speed, Yadi– Heaven only knows what’s in store for you next!
Yadi will always be loved by all that knew her.

Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not for long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that once we shared
Miss me, but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all part of the master plan
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go to the friends we know.
Laugh at all the things we used to do
Miss me, but let me go.
